The New Quorum welcomes June 2018 residents

xavier cardriche, James Brandon Lewis and Fay Victor!

Singer-Songrwriter-Guitarist Xavier Cardriche has an affinity for the narrative. As a result, his work is founded in telling stories through songwriting and filmmaking, with the aim to bringing both mediums to the stage.

Brookyn-born and raised, Xavier released three albums and produced a series of concept and narrative-based music videos which are incorporated in live performance.

Critically acclaimed saxophonist, composer, recording artist and educator, Lewis has received accolades from New York Times, Q Magazine and cultural tastemakers such as Ebony Magazine, who hailed him as one of the “7 Young Players to Watch” in todays scene.

Vocalist/composer Fay Victor, called “artistically complete” by the New York Times, hones a unique vision for the vocalist's role in jazz and improvised music. Victor has released eight critically acclaimed recordings as a leader; featured in The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, Time Out New York, and Downbeat magazine.

Located in a New Orleans mansion on historic Esplanade Avenue, The New Quorum is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to bringing professional musicians and writers from across the globe to New Orleans for meaningful cultural exchange with local and regional artists. We promote and facilitate cultural exchange through our Artist Residency program, by producing musical and literary events, and by conducting an artist exchange program that provides New Orleans artists with cultural opportunities outside the city. All these programs and activities are designed to provide professional development and career support to New Orleans’ large and varied community of artists while disseminating the unique culture of our city worldwide.
