WELCOME TO THE NEW QUORUM

The New Quorum is a historic mansion on Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans. Built in 1911, this property is located in the Esplanade Ridge National Historic District, conveniently situated between the French Quarter and City Park.

Esplanade Avenue was once home to wealthy French residents in the 18th and 19th centuries, including the extended family of Edgar Degas, whose historic home is directly across the avenue. The New Quorum reflects this rich history with its elegant New Orleans architecture, featuring fifteen-foot ceilings, pocket doors, detailed medallions, and period furnishings. The property also boasts lovely gardens, courtyard patio, and a beautiful porch with views of Esplanade Avenue.

The New Quorum is an ideal venue for weddings, private events, and community gatherings. Additionally, Bayou St. John and New Orleans City Park are less than a mile away, offering walking and running trails, kayaking, and biking opportunities.

THE NEW QUORUM is dedicated to bringing musicians, writers, and creative thinkers from across the globe to New Orleans for meaningful cultural exchange with local and regional artists. We promote and facilitate cultural exchange through residency programs and arts/cultural events, all of which are designed to support New Orleans’ large and varied community of artists and creatives while disseminating the unique culture of our city worldwide.
